Built in 1817 as a Farmhouse Distillery on the banks of the River Bladnoch, Bladnoch is the most southerly of all of Scotland's distilleries. A relative small distillery, using only a pair of stills but it's whisky is highly prized by connoisseurs of Lowland single malts. Matured for 25 years in oak casks and distilled in 1990, is light in color with a nose full of flavor. Here you will find a sweet, floral nose with hints of malted barley. On the palate it is smooth and sweet with hints of citrus and bananas. The finish is long and just keeps on going.
