The branding is deliberately darkly comic, but the whisky itself is a legitimateBlended Malt Scotch Whisky, and official UK verification records list it as Scotch whisky under the Lehman Bros USA name. 

Chapter II is styled as the heavier, smokier expression in the range. The producer describes a nose suggestive of smoke and ripe autumn fruit, followed by a palate where restrained peat smoke gives way to brighter citrus character. Cinnamon and honey emerge on the finish, bringing sweetness and freshness after the whisky's darker opening.

The name and presentation are inseparable from the story. Lehman Brothers Whiskey was conceived as a tongue-in-cheek reference to the 2008 financial collapse, withAshes of Disaster,Snapfire, andEvergreen representing different chapters in the story.
