An elegant, fruit-forward French Pinot Noir from J. de Villebois, a Loire Valley producer known for its expertise in Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. This inviting red offers aromas of ripe cherries, raspberries and fresh plums, complemented by delicate floral notes, black pepper and subtle spice.
Medium-light in body, the palate is supple and silky, with juicy red berry flavors, gentle tannins and refreshing acidity. A touch of dark fruit adds depth, while the clean, lively finish preserves the freshness and finesse that make Loire Valley Pinot Noir so appealing.
The grapes are selected from vineyards suited to Pinot Noir cultivation. Following a cold maceration and fermentation, the wine is aged primarily in stainless steel to preserve its bright fruit character, with approximately 5% aged in previously used oak barrels. The restrained oak influence allows the wine's delicate aromatics and natural freshness to remain at the forefront.
Food Pairing: Excellent with roast chicken, grilled salmon, turkey, mushroom dishes, veal and lighter beef preparations. Particularly enjoyable served slightly cool.
