Limited edition inspired by spice markets
four different cask types
Glenmorangie A Tale of Spices is a limited-edition Highland single malt that explores the vibrant, aromatic world of global spice markets through inventive maturation. Designed as an expressive and sensory-driven whisky, it layers Glenmorangie’s elegant house style with warmth, florality, and bold spice, resulting in a dram that feels both exotic and unmistakably refined.
The nose is perfumed and complex, opening with rose, jasmine, and orange blossom, followed by waves of ginger, clove, nutmeg, cumin, and a touch of anise. On the palate, it is lively and warming, balancing peppery spice and chili heat with sweeter notes of mint toffee, demerara sugar, and sugared almonds. The texture is energetic yet polished, with spice always in harmony rather than overpowering.
The finish is long and aromatic, lingering with clove, soft pepper, and gentle sweetness. Bottled at 46% ABV (92 proof)in a 750 ml format, Glenmorangie A Tale of Spices is an adventurous yet accessible single malt that rewards curious drinkers looking for something expressive and distinctive.
Cask Program:
The whisky begins its maturation in ex-bourbon American oak casks, then undergoes a complex secondary maturation across multiple cask types, including Moroccan red wine casks (French oak), new charred oak, Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, and shaved and toasted red wine casks. This multi-layered cask program is designed to amplify aromatic and savory spice notes while adding sweetness, structure, and depth without sacrificing balance.
