The Macallan A Night on Earth – The First Light (2025) is a limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky released as part of The Macallan’s annual A Night on Earth series, celebrating moments of connection, renewal, and new beginnings. Inspired by the first light of the New Year, this edition reflects warmth and optimism, presented in specially designed packaging that evokes the calm glow of sunrise.

The nose is bright and inviting, offering aromas of toasted oak, soft berry notes, vanilla, and gentle citrus. On the palate, it is smooth and approachable, with flavors of caramelized marshmallow, creamy vanilla, stone fruit, and subtle hints of coconut and honey. The texture is rounded and elegant, leading into a mellow, warming finish accented by light baking spice and polished oak.

Bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof) in a 750 ml format, The First Light is designed to be both expressive and accessible, making it well suited for celebration, gifting, or sharing at meaningful moments.

Cask Program:
This whisky is matured in a carefully balanced combination of sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks, along with a portion of ex-bourbon American oak barrels. The multi-cask approach layers sweetness, fruit, and gentle spice while maintaining harmony and clarity, emphasizing warmth and approachability rather than overt oak intensity.
