Lochlea is an independent, family-owned distillery in the heart of Ayrshire, Scotland, in the Lowland region. They grow their own barley, distill their spirit and age in casks all on site. Their local indfredients, process and maturation combine to offer a distinctive style of Scotch whisky.
In this Sowing Edition for 2022, we have used 100% fresh 1st-fill ex-Bourbon barrels.
Initially led by the experience of Malcolm Rennie, Lochlea is now under the management of ex-Laphroaig Distillery Manager John Campbell. Having been responsible for one of the top ten Scotch whisky brands in the world over the past 27 years, John brings a wealth of knowledge and a burning ambition to assist Lochlea fulfils its potential.
