Sweet corn and a strong open, quickly smoothing into a traditional untamed bourbon; strength, but on top of a delicately crafted base. This is an old fashioned bourbon, with the oak and corn prominent, but balanced well

After the initial flush, the finish is surprisingly sweet and delicate, and lasting long enough before you go for another sip

There is something here that stays with me, making me want to continue to enjoy. The Company explains that they aimed for an unrushed product, reminiscent of Kentucky's scenic State Route 8, which runs along the Ohio River, and meant to instill an appreciation of the slow and traditional. They've done it. I look forward to trying their other offerings.
