Augusta Distillery Premium Small Batch No. 01 is a bold, full-strength Kentucky bourbon built from a tightly curated selection of no more than eight barrels, bottled unfiltered and at cask strength to preserve maximum flavor and texture. The inaugural release is drawn from bourbon averaging approximately seven years of age, giving it considerably more maturity than many bourbons in its price class. 

The nose leads with caramel, dark cherry, vanilla, brown sugar and baking spice, backed by toasted oak, clove and nutmeg. On the palate, expect a rich, concentrated profile of toffee, dark cherry, seasoned oak, leather and spice, with the cask strength adding weight and intensity without stripping away the underlying sweetness. The finish is long and warming, carrying caramel, oak, spice and lingering corn sweetness.

This is Augusta's new more-accessible counterpart to its highly regarded Buckner's and Old Route 8 releases: a serious, mature, barrel-strength bourbon intended to be good enough for sipping neat while still priced for regular drinking. The Small Batch No. 01 designation also makes the inaugural batch particularly interesting for collectors who have followed Augusta's older, limited releases.
