Bat Shlomo Betty’s Cuvée is the flagship Bordeaux-style blend from the historic Bat Shlomo winery village founded under the patronage of Baron Edmond de Rothschild. Crafted under Napa-trained winemaker Ari Erle, the wine combines Old World structure with ripe Mediterranean fruit, producing one of the more polished premium kosher reds coming out of Israel today.
The blend is typically built around Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, though percentages shift slightly by vintage. Recent releases have been aged roughly 20–22 months in new French oak barrels.
Deep plum and garnet in color, Betty’s Cuvée opens with aromas of black cherry, cassis, licorice, herbs, cedar, and sweet oak. The palate is full-bodied and structured, showing layers of wild berries, dark chocolate, cinnamon spice, tobacco leaf, and earthy mineral tones. Firm tannins and fresh acidity keep the wine balanced and age-worthy, with a long, velvety finish.
This is a serious steakhouse-style red — powerful but refined. Excellent with:
