Gros Winery HOPE is a rich, full-bodied Israeli red blend crafted from 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Syrah and 10% Merlot, sourced from vineyards in Kadita in the Upper Galilee, overlooking Mount Meron.
Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, HOPE combines the concentrated dark-fruit character and firm structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the spicy complexity of Syrah and the supple, rounded texture of Merlot.
The wine offers aromas of ripe blackberry, blackcurrant and dark cherry, complemented by notes of cedar, cocoa, Mediterranean herbs and toasted oak. On the palate, it is generous and layered, with concentrated black fruit, polished tannins and hints of vanilla, pepper and earthy spice. A long, satisfying finish balances richness with structure.
Produced by boutique winemaker Yehuda Gros, HOPE reflects the distinctive character of the Upper Galilee's elevated vineyards. Its extended barrel aging and Cabernet-dominant composition make it a particularly appealing choice for lovers of robust, structured Israeli reds.
Food Pairing: Grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, brisket and richly seasoned Mediterranean dishes.
