Russell Reserve Bourbon Single Rickhouse 128

Russell’s Reserve Bourbon Single Rickhouse is a distinguished expression from Wild Turkey’s famed Master Distiller Freddie Johnson and the Russell family legacy. This limited-release bourbon highlights the influence of aging environment by showcasing barrels drawn exclusively from a single rickhouse, in this case, Camp Nelson E, offering a focused look at how warehousing and micro-climate shape flavor while remaining true to Wild Turkey’s bold, balanced style.

On the nose, expect rich aromas of caramel, vanilla bean, toasted oak, and baking spice, with layers of dried fruit and baking chocolate. The palate delivers robust classic bourbon character—deep brown sugar, warm toffee, spice, and charred oak—supported by a creamy mouthfeel and impressive depth. Subtle hints of citrus peel and toasted grains add nuance without overshadowing the core flavors.

The finish is long, warming, and spice-forward, with lingering notes of oak, cinnamon, and vanilla. Bottled at  64%ABV (128 proof) bottled at 750 ml, Russell’s Reserve Bourbon Single Rickhouse offers an elevated expression for enthusiasts who appreciate distinct warehouse influence and traditional Kentucky bourbon craftsmanship.

Cask Program:
This bourbon is matured in new, charred American oak barrels with a classic heavy char (alligator), then aged solely in one specific rickhouse rather than blending barrels from multiple warehouses. There is no secondary finishing—all complexity comes from barrel interaction and the unique temperature and humidity conditions of that single rickhouse, highlighting terroir-driven variation within Wild Turkey’s tried-and-true cask profile.
