Steiner Estate Winery Tokaji Late Harvest

The winery boasts a rich history, dating back centuries before its restoration in 1998. Local tradition honors Rabbi Reb Shayale, who generously provided food to the region’s winemakers, embodying the spirit of kindness that still defines the estate. Situated in the heart of Bodrogkeresztúr village, the beautifully restored winery and 18th-century Steiner mansion are part of a renowned pilgrimage site, home to the Kever of Rabbi Reb Shayele Steiner.

This medium light straw-yellow wine offers intense aromas of ripe and dried fruits, botrytis, and elegant barrel notes. A full-bodied sip reveals flavors of fruit, compote, and dried apricot, balanced by refined acidity for a harmonious finish. Our vineyard, near R’ Shayaleh’s home in Kerestir, Hungary, continues his legacy of warmth and hospitality. The revered rabbi welcomed our winemakers with comforting food and kindness.
